Sam is very experienced. He answered all questions patiently and detailed, his crew knew what they were doing and did a good job. If I have other projects on my house in the future, Sam Home Improvement will be my first choice definitely.

Remodel a Bathroom
Sam and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Sam is very knowledgeable about his work and understood what we needed, and made our vision come to life. His crew was professional, on time, clean, and knew what they were doing. His pricing was very responsible compared to other companies. Great quality work for sure, will definitely call back for other projects. I already recommend him to our neighbor.

Comments: We used Sam to fully remodel our master bathroom and do some cosmetic work in our guest bathroom. We took down walls and started completely from scratch. Sam did all of the demolition, prep work, plumbing, electrical and installed some very intricate marble mosaic tile, for us on the floor of the bathroom and in the shower. Sam is punctual, responsive and extremely knowledgable about his craft. His men do incredible work when it comes to the finishes and he keeps a very clean workspace. All along the process Sam was present at the job and addressed any minor issues we had along the way immediately. You will not find any better bang for your buck in this area. I highly recommend him and we just hired him again to do even more work in our home.

Comments: The grout work was "art" perfect for the porcelain tile laid on the concrete floor. They removed the old tile, spread tile-thinset mortor, then laid out the tile beautifully. They came back the next day to grout the tile, and after the weekend spread the dealer. My friends love the look!

From demolition to tile install to marble bull-nosing and finally free standing tub install.....perfection. We are so happy with our bathroom. It's beautiful! Comments: The best contractor we have had in 15 years of living here! Our 53yr old house is in the Fort Hunt / Waynewood area and we have had a lot of renovations done. Sam took care to ensure this project was done right. We had the main bathroom tub replaced, walls retiled and faucets installed. This was a 2nd update to our bathroom and we wanted to keep the tile floor and sink. Sam was able to install the new tub while protecting the floor tile not being replaced. All the work was done within the time & price promised and it looks great! We have/will recommend him to anyone needing quality home repairs done - at a very fair price. We wish we had found him for earlier projects and will absolutely hire him again!!

Comments: TL;DR: WOW! We had an unfinished utility area, that we wanted finished, mostly around the washer and dryer. We wound up having it split into a nice laundry area and a less-nice furnace area, with the 50 year old tile replaced with new. When Sam came over to do the initial estimate for our small job, he clearly knew what he was talking about. He corrected mistakes some prior contractors tried to talk us into, made additional suggestions (not just to get more work, a lot of it was some to save us money or make the work more effective at the same price), and was very clear about what would be done, when, for how much, and how long it would take. He proposed to do a much more thorough job, with some great additions, for a good bit less, than either of the two other companies we talked to. The excellent communication continued throughout the project; I work from home, and he would always tell me when he was going to turn off electricity or water, and when he was going to leave or return. He was very flexible about any further little changes or additions (suggesting a few more along the way, mostly tossed in for free). They just finished today, and the work looks wonderful. They even cleaned up after themselves pretty well; of course some dust leaked out, but they vacuumed up most of it in the general area. As far as I know they were even good about not letting our cats into the utility area. :-) The wife and I are impressed with the work Sam has done, and overjoyed with the value received. We have a few more little projects we will certainly be contacting them about!

Comments: Sam responded immediately on a Saturday to my request for service to install an over-the-range microwave that Home Depot's installers delivered but would not install due to not having the correct tools to deal with my kitchen's plaster walls. My old microwave was sitting on my kitchen floor and my new microwave was still in its box. Sam came to the rescue, even though he wasn't officially working on the Saturday in question. Two hours later the new microwave was installed and working perfectly. Sam was very meticulous about his work, which I appreciate. I will definitely call him again for future work and recommend him to my friends.

Comments: The day after thanksgiving and my dishwasher won't drain, the disposal is clogged. I called SAM and he interrupted his schedule to help me out. He replaced and corrected the clogging problems very quickly and in a professional manner. Outstanding service with a very reasonable price. Comments: The work performed was a kitchen back splash installation. We had already purchased the material. Sam came as requested, took measurements, provided some good design ideas, and gave us a competitive quote. He was responsive when we wanted to make small tweaks during the installation and expertly placed the center piece over the stove. Only thing we felt could be better was the grouting. It felt rushed and there are a couple uneven spots on close inspection but nothing that really stands out. Overall, great job and would hire again.
